We are so excited to officially welcome you to the Solluna Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica, a soul-nourishing, body-awakening experience designed to help you reconnect, realign, and rediscover the essence of who you are.

Here’s most of what you need to know to get ready—including a few practical reminders.

Your To-Do List

  1. Book Your Flights
    We recommend flying into Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) by 12:00 PM on Sunday, September 7 if you’d like to join the group shuttle.
    Return flights should depart after 11:00 AM on Sunday, September 14.

Optional Hopper Flight
If you’re flying domestically to Limón via Fly Sansa, make sure you arrive no later than 4:00 PM so we can get you to the retreat center in time for dinner at 6:00 PM. We’ll help coordinate your ride from Limón to Tierra de Sueños.

  1. Complete Your Final Payment
    Your remaining balance is due 80 days before the retreat. If you’re already within that 80-day window, please make full payment within 7 days of your deposit to hold your spot. If you haven’t yet paid your deposit, click HERE to pay it now.

A Look at What’s Ahead

This retreat is about transformation through movement, stillness, nature, and community. Each day will include:

  • Morning Vinyasa yoga practices to awaken the body and mind
  • Daily guided meditations and breathwork (pranayama) to connect to the subtle self
  • Workshops on chakras, bandhas, chanting, and the sacred roots of yoga
  • Opportunities for journaling, stillness, and creative expression
  • Delicious, nourishing, locally-sourced meals to fuel your body and support your energy
  • Time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with nature

A few suggestions:

We suggest planning your budget as you would for a trip in your home country. Plan to have cash (small bills are best) on hand as some items are cash only. USD works well for everything and is widely accepted, but your change will come back to you in Colones. If you don’t want to deal with Colones, bring smaller USD bills to make the change you need. Excursions will be paid for in cash.

Purchase Travel Insurance

A retreat is an investment in your well-being—but it’s also a financial investment. No one books a retreat with the intention of cancelling, but unexpected life events do occur. We cannot offer refunds or credits of any kind, given the small boutique scope of our business. *TRAVEL INSURANCE WORKS* if you have to cancel!

Trip insurance should also be purchased to cover medical expenses, in the event you have an accident while on the retreat. You can usually add insurance to your airfare when booking flights. Excursions & Cultural Immersion

In addition to our yoga programming, we’ll experience the magic and culture of Costa Rica firsthand. Two highlights include:

  1. Indigenous Bri Bri Tribe & Waterfall Tour
    Join us as we explore the lush Talamanca region with a local BriBri guide, where you’ll learn about ancestral traditions, meet with a local Shaman, visit a spectacular waterfall, and engage in authentic cultural traditions.
  2. Cacao Education, Harvest & Ceremony Experience
    We’ll also visit a local farm to learn about cacao from seed to bar, harvest the fruit, make your own chocolate, and participate in a heart-centered cacao ritual honoring this sacred plant.

This journey is not just a vacation—it’s a return to yourself. Through yoga, breath, nature, community, and culture, we’ll create the space for you to pause, reflect, sweat, laugh, release, and remember.
